Description |
Rajie Cook's "Curfews and Closures" (2002) Assemblage artwork with keffiyeh and found objects. Appears on page 258 of his monograph, A Vision For My Father (2017). Caption reads, "Shortly before the beginning of the Oslo process, Israel subjected the West Bank and Gaza to an external closure. Since then, Israel has imposed an internal closure as well, separating Palestinian communities from each other. When the army imposes curfew on Palestinians (but not Israeli settlers in the same area), familes are completly confined to their homes." |
