Description |
Bracelet made of five white paper flowers strung on a white cotton string. Flowers are formed by rolled paper strips with petal shapes cut into the strip and folded back. Originally, the flowers were scented with jasmine perfume. Shalaby made this flower bracelet and several more like it during the AANM's 2011 Diwan conference held in New York. She gave the bracelets away to participants as she made them. Nada Shalaby is a multi-media visual artist of Egyptian descent based in New York. |
