Description |
Roll of 7/8 inch dark green silk ribbon wound around a cardboard cylinder 5 5/8 inch in diamater, the cylinder being stamped at one side with green ink reading "60 YARDS," and the other handmarked in pencil script with a letter "W" and an underlined "900 yds" The end of the ribbon is unfinished and frayed slightly, and is secured with a small modern metal pin. The roll of ribbon was part of the stock of a peddler's supply shop owned and operated in Boston, Massachusetts, by George Abdalah, father of Dr. Evelyn Menconi. |
