White photo album with leather-like embossed covers and a gold border, at the center of which is placed a black and white photograph of Julia Forzley Koury as an infant in the silver oval frame. Text prepared by Koury was placed at the interior of the front cover detailing the contents. The albumn includes numerous photographs, letters, news clippings, invitations, cards, diplomas and other academic ephemera, etc. Notable items include: -Certificate of birth, May 18,1910 of Juliette (Julia) Forzley in Worcester, Massachusetts. -Certificate from Worcester Grammar Schools given to Julia. -photos from the US in 1934 -photos of family home in Massachusetts -Newspaper clippings of Evelyn and Major Robert Abodeely's marriage. -Photos of the hurricane in Worcester of Nov. 7, 1939 -Wedding annoucncements of Julia to William A Koury. -Wedding invites, photograph and marriage certificate (Nov. 20 1938) -Divorce certificate from 1958 -Proficiency certificate given by Order of Eastern star . -Sally Marie NeJame and Mitchell wedding anncouncement -Marriage of couple in April 23, 1950. -Park Sheraton Hotel reciept for Koury family dating 4-12-52 -Hillcrest county club membership card 3-1-59. -Pictures of Julia -Detroit Public Schools ID. -Detroit Board of Education ID for Nursing in St. John Hospital, valid until Sept 1973 |
