Description |
Woman with dark skin and tattoos on chin. She is wearing brocade clothing and an embroidered shawl. She is also carrying a baby on her back. One of seven handmade dolls purchased in Lebanon and made in Syria. The dolls are dressed in traditional Bedouin costumes, largely made of Damascus brocade. Underside of dolls' clothing is a stamp, "Barrone Belling, Made in Syria Damascus." |
