Oversize bonded bronze bust of Ibn Khaldun on a black micarta base. A widely respected poet, scholar, astronomer, historian and mathematician, Ibn Khaldun is credited with laying the foundation for contemporary economics and social sciences. He was born in Tunisia in 1332 CE and spent many years living in Cairo, Egypt where he wrote an autobiography and a history of the world. |
