Necklace, gold with orange and turquoise cylindrical beads. Modern Egyptian in origin. This item was displayed at the old ACCESS Main Gallery. Its label read, "Above are examples of Berber enamel and silver jewelry from Morocco (the necklace, pin and bracelet on the left) and of modern Egyptian jewelry which replicates ancient Pharaonic themes (the earrings, bracelet, and necklace on the right). Both are worn as bright costume jewelry in several Arab countries." |
