Description |
United States passport issued to Elias Saleh, the donor's grandfather, on July 30th, 1925, issued in "Beirut, Syria" bearing visas for France and Beirut. The entire document maintains clear tape where separate sections of the passport have been taped together. Elias, who had immigrated to 1895 and worked as a peddler in the American Southwest, returned to the US in 1905 with his wife and children where he settled permanently in Michigan; see provenance for more. |
