ab) tabletop Singer sewing machine, serial number AA810559 consisting of (a) black lacquered metal machine mounted on a dark brown rectangular wooden base with gold, red and green decorative motifs like foliage, urns, and scrollwork applied across surface and "SINGER" along top at either side. The machine featurs a number of metal nobs, cranks, and mechanisms, and would be stored away with (b) a molded dark brown wood cover with rounded top, painted "SINGER" in gold on long sides, and swivel handle at top center. The machine was used by the donor's grandmother in Canton, Ohio, to make clothes for her family. |
