Size 12 ladies skirt of red, black white checked fabric with a white polyester lining, front pleats, and side pockets; skirt has a zipper and button closure at center back. Tag reads "Professionally dry clean only / Made in USA of imported fabric". Produced by the Parkway Manufacturing Company of West Roxbury, Massachusetts, a women's clothing company founded by the donor's mother, Hannah Sabbagh Shakir in 1944; her small suburban storefront later expanded allowing her to hire more seamstresses, mostly neighborhood women. |
