Summary |
Deluxe purple velvet edition of The Path of Vision by Ameen Rhiani. First published in 1921 by James T. white & Co., in New York. It attracted considerable attention and was reviewed by most of the major newspapers in the United States, Canada and Great Britain. The second edition was published by The Rihani House in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1970. A limited number of deluxe copies with velvet cover were produced as a premium version of this edition. From the Rihani Organization: "This collection of essays by Rihani compares aspects of East and West. The essays are grouped into two parts: the first focuses largely on America, while the second deals with Lebanon and the Levant. Rihani seeks to engage the true heroes of the new world whom he sees as the agents of the "World-Spirit." He introduces three American writers who most influenced him: Walt Whitman, Henri David Thoreau, and Ralph Waldo Emerson. A recurring theme in these essays is to return "spiritual science" to the Orient." |
