Coffeehouse Menu |
Scope & Content |
Laminated green and white printed menu from the Algiers Coffee House, located at 40 Brattle Sttreet, Cambridge, Massachusetts. The coffee house was opened in 1971 by Palestinian American Emile Durzi; it closed in October 2016 after decades of serving local students, due to the owner's declining health. He ultimately died in 2018. Sami Herbawi and Leo Diodato, who owned and operated another nearby coffeehouse, purchased the cafe and reopened it in 2018 with minor changes to the menu. Sadly their landlord opted not to renew the least and the cafe ultimately closed for good. |
