Oral history with Nahla Haidar conducted by AANM community historian Shatha Najim at AANM in Dearborn, MI. Nahla discusses her career as a math teacher and coach and her recent position as the STEM Associate Dean at Henry Ford College, in which she is the first Arab woman to hold this position. She talked about her upbringing in Senegal as a Lebanese immigrant and the enviroment there. Then she shared her views of what it means to be "Arab" and the discrimintion she faces in her life and how she combats it through her community activism. |
