This 2 1/2" ft in diameter aluminum shield haped pot is the cooking shield on which bedouin women in Jordan bake bread. the pot is inserted over an open fire and a paper thin dough of flour, water, salt and occassionally yeast is spread ovr its convex surface. Once it bakes a little it is turned over for a few seconds and cooked again on the other side.
Rust and paint residue scattered throughout.
